Member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale since 2017 and third generation of a large family of antiquarian booksellers in Mexico City, Selva has also has been a researcher and curator specialized in the book as an object. In 1993 she started the publication Galera, dedicated to the bibliophilia and the art of the book, as well as the design workshop of the same name. Since then, she has dedicated her career to book design and edition of cultural publications, art books, catalogs for exhibitions and museums. In 2011 she founded Ediciones Acapulco, an independent publishing house that prints limited edition books with a careful selection of contents, edition, printing and design. Currently she manages three places dedicated to books and art: Through the Looking Glass, with more than 100 thousand books of all themes, The Incredible Bookstore, a space dedicated to books, objects and art, and The Book Office, which gathers old, rare and selected books for collectors and researchers. She divides her professional space among editing, teaching, designing, researching, writing and printing in her workshop -risograph, stamps and mobile types-. And she even has energy, time and lots of love for her two teenage daughters.
